Thats the whole thing, I dont think we will be able to tow it with one of those but since were on the subject.
show of hands, whos used one of those tow Dolley’s? did you have any problems loading up a lowered teg and how was the rear end clearance?
You’ll be able to tow the car, but isn’t Craig picking up his truck from the Springs too? I rented a flat bed from U-Haul a couple years back to bring a car down from Leadville, and it was at most $100. If you can pay for gas, I’ll see if we can borrow my dads Tundra, and that should be able to tow the truck back on a flatbed too.
I’ve given you quite the disdain for tow straps huh? hahaha
Any kind of dolly type sounds like a bad idea to me. U-haul has the full car hauler trailers for $55… I’ve used them several times. I haven’t had a lowered DA on one, but the last car we loaded was a DC with no problems. It was lowered with a JDM front, not really any fender gap but not totally slammed either.
I’ve used dollies on an ef and eg without problems, but I think I may have been lucky. Personally I’d just get AAA and then just have them use a flatbed.
agaazi is right. tow dolley is fine. Ive used that and a flatbed to transfer enron around from one place to another. I like the flatbed better but the tow dolley worked good and it was cheap:)
this was last year when I bought her back! as you can see the clearance was decent. I drove her about 15 miles home on the freeway:)
when i brought my da to get tuned i used a uhaul trailer and extra boards to make it a easier ramp to get on, and i also used my brothers tilt trailer that worked the best

Yeah, I’ll probably just rent one of those. I was hoping to buy something because renting from Uhaul adds two trips to every tow (for dolly pickup and drop off).
And, mrpenny, I do need to tow the truck up here as well but it has to go on a flatbed…the main reason I want to tow it is because i can’t afford to replace all four tires right now, but it’s not safe to drive without them. I’ve rented flatbed trailers before too and I think it was about $100.
If we can borrow the Tundra, maybe i should just get the flatbed and tow the car to the dyno, then go get the Chevy and tow it back here. let’s talk soon…
