tps replacement question

im trying to set my tps and the range with the voltmeter is .59 closed throttle and 6.09 full throttle. the tps is all the way towards the passenger side so i cant lower the closed throttle any more. i unpluged the tps and check the volts from the ecu and it reads 6.82. why is this so out of range, or is it that bad? i thought it was supposed to be .45 - 5v. i got a 90 teg and an obd1 94-95 gsr with a chipped p28. in the proccess of getting the swap done. the old tps was broke off so i had to take the one of my b18a.

anyboby have any comments??? i did check the whole range from closed to full throttle and it has no dead spots. do i need to get a new one or what?

try and stick a dremel in the slot and take a little bit out, so you can move it a little further.

IMO sounds like that sensor might be shot to me. i cant say ive herd of the reading being above six which makes me think its way out of spec.

thanks. but can anybody else verify it being shot. any other comments welcome as well.

adjust ur throttle plate stop. this will angle ur plate down further. also double check ur accelerator cable for proper free play. if any of those are off ur throttle plate is not closing far enough which could be throwing everything out of wack.
