Thanks to a very generous friend I had the opportunity to track the NSX (again). It had new tires on it so my first session kinda sucked, it wouldn’t do anything correctly but the next time it flew.
What not to do at a trackday:
He wrecked on the front straight probably due to a lift in turn 9.
Here’s a video of me driving in the area where the BMW ate it, its a very fast blind corner. In most cars if you go in properly and don’t lift in the middle you can get through there at WOT, even in the NSX. In this car I come out of that corner at 95mph.
NSX video (there is strange audio from the owner’s girl friend who is aparentely excited about catching the car on video.)
My student drove a G2 and picked up rather quickly, he was passing everyone in his group and did an excellent job of driving smoothly, online and such.
I havent seen any other G2’s at autocrosses this year what gives?!
Looking good. What track is that?
I wish I had friends like that.
seems tough to lose it there… who was driving that bmw? that dude standing next to it in the pic? nice pics and movie though.
yum. NSX. You always get to drive the cool cars.
Ben
Ben-are you coming over the mountains for any autocrosses this year?
prolly for some of the everett ones (I always lose th website though). I dont really like the bremerton ones. Too much driving (to get there).
Ben
go to http://www.wwscc.org
mrfrost - is that at Pacific Raceways or Bremerton?
I haven’t been able to attend any autocrosses this year because of an intensive track day schedule and my car has sustained two major failures. My car was out of commision Sunday too so I was forced to drive the NSX all day. Acually not all day, I also drove a stripped JUN ITR powered EG hatch too:) The track is Pacific Raceways (formerly SIR) and is known as one of the more dangerous tracks around.
The guy driving the BMW is not the one standing there. The driver was in the advanced group but made a mistake. Witnesses said he came through there really fast every lap.
Bremerton is much better than Everett for autoX, well worth the drive IMO.
Yeah I like Bremerton way better because Everett is way too bumpy. I like Everett though because Boeing is just down the street from my house. I sleep in until like 5 minutes before i leave
