[SIZE=4]Please help[/SIZE]
i installed an innovative traction bar, and now when i accelerate or brake i get a loud clunk… so basically if i accelerate it clunks and then when i brake it clunks, but only alternating… if i just keep braking it only does it the first time, and if i keep accelerating it only does it the first time.
I’ve checked, double checked and triple checked all the bolts on the traction bar, and i can’t find anything loose.

All traction bars that utilize heim joints will have a certain degree of “clunking”. The only way you’re going to reduce the noise is to go with an aftermarket front cross member that utilizes the stock radius arms (can’t remember the company that makes it), or find some rubber washers to install in the space on either side of each heim joint.
EDIT: I think Innovative was the company but it looks like they now make a full traction bar setup that supposedly doesn’t clunk due to the fact that they use heim joints on one end of the radius arm only.
Would a stock crossmember/radius arms make that same “clunk”? If so, what would I need to check? The bushings on the crossmember end of the radius arms?

Think my car is making the same noise as you described. I put a innovative traction bar and innovative motor mounts on my car in April. I replaced everything in my front end besides control arm bushings. I just started getting the clunk you described a few weeks again. I’m going to check everything this weekend. Let me know if you find anything
Check all the bolts, last year I put a Full-Race Traction Bar on my 92 and I was getting the exact same noise, I went over each bolt and found a few of them slightly loose
mine does the same, however when i first got the traction bar i heard a loud clunky noise and it was the rear motor mount that went out. now i run hasport and it still creeks and clunks a little. the rod ends on the traction bar arent very good so i lube them pretty often so i dont hear it as much
Mine does the saae sjit pisses me off

i also had the same problem but mines from Z10 Motor Sports all i had to do is remove it and adjust it more and it stop dont know if the others are the same too hope this help out a bit.
