the fact that innovative doesn’t close up that tube makes me not like them at all anymore…that will cause issues eventually with shit being in there and getting in there
I don’t see it being a problem. Worse comes to worse, you can find a way to cap it off. I don’t see any of them being any better than the next aside from off brands.
so i guess i will be buying a k-tuned one then, i like esp but waiting 7-9 weeks plus is a no go, i ordered a esp bar for my ef and it took 7 months
lucky for me Innovative corporate office is like 10 minutes from me.
I think that’s the real reason why I’m getting innovative, for warranty issues and I can pick up my parts in my lunch brake.
i dont like how the innovative tube is open for the crossmember, also its $100 cheaper than all the other ones, theres got to be a reason for that
lol ^^ so that makes it worse. good analogy. its more than likely cheaper due to the no front mount option like most other bar setups. skunk2 products are made in china but are still expensive so what does that tell you?? innovative probably isnt about gouging the customer on price just to be on par with competitors.
im rocking a no front mount k tuned, and when ive seen innovative im glad i spent the few extra bucks…i have a feeling my k tuned will last longer and hold up better
Full Race>ktuned any day of the week.
Full race hangs too low
yup full race hangs wayy too low…i like ground clearance
Given that Innovative makes fantastic motor mounts, I can’t see why they would cheap out on their traction bar. Ground clearance and weight were likely major factors when they built it.

I’ll try to find a pic of the one installed on my gsr from a while back. Tucks up against the frame for max ground clearance.
ok so I noticed that some bars have the provisions for the front Trans mount, but do the newer hydro trannys have the same mounts, I don’t think I’ve seen a gsr with that front mount.
No. If you look at ESP’s website, they use the A/C bracket as the mounting point for the front torque mount on their cars. Remember that the DC chassis has the two front lower engine mounts instead of the trans mounted front torque mount on the DA.
Ok so after much thought and weighing quality and function I have placed my order for a k tuned bar.
I noticed some like innovative only use two bolts on each side to mount the bar on the stock location as the original bar is bolted.
Then you have others that use the factory tow hook location to bolt the bar.
K tuned was the only one that uses both tow hook and factory cross member location to bolt the bar. And comes with adjustable radiator mounts and b series cable transmission mount.
Yes you pay more but this bar was made with swaps in mind.
You can mount a half civic radiator.
I meant to comment but I have two a ESP one and a full race lol and after installing my full race drag track bar I realized no front mount Gsr block and if I can mount sweet but it’s nice and stiffens it up I have hasport mounts so not too worried about
Just posted a full race bar for sale if anyone is interested. Its a fun mod for sure :naughty:
My Innovative system has provisions for the front torque mount. The damn mount bracket is $60 shipped from Innovative.
Just got mine after 2 months back order.
I’m happy with it, I noticed the drive and turns are different, car feels lighter and stable on hard take offs. No hop or bounce.
K-Tuned bar suuuuucks. I had one and it was nothing but problems(like all of their other parts) Uses the tow hook location as a mount? Doesn’t make any sense because that works as a giant pivot. Rod ends also seemed cheap.
Switched to an innovative and couldn’t be happier. Other than the fact that you can’t jack the car by it. Full race seems like a solid piece too.
