Trailing arm bushing development.

hello there… page 12 ownage

what what??? Norm Reeves from Temecula? Man, I HATE that place. For awhile they were marking up their parts ABOVE list price…what a joke. Not to mention the huge hassle I went thru when I had to have some of my seatbelt components replaced.

how did the seatbelt thing go? heres a scan of the seatbelt warranty from my owners manual Best Of SEO & Blogging - ImageStation

Well gang;

I’ve updated the page on my site that covers bushings and I think it pretty much covers it all (at least as much information as I feel comfortable giving).

If you find any bad errors, please e-mail me directly (my e-mail address is at the bottom of the page) so that this string doesn’t just keep growing endlessly.

…well, I need to get this Trailing Arm bushing for my g2 to pass the safety… so I called Acura about part # 52385-SK7-N02 and they told me, 75.65ea !!! :-O!! …before I order them, I wanna know if these are the PROPER ones… and will fit without any modifications… (the guy doing the safety is a real bastard… :frowning: ) I’ve read all the other posts on this thread and I just want to make sure now before I order these expencive buggers…

Lets all be clear about this. Anything with an “SK7” in the part number is for 90-93 Integras. It may also fit other cars, but the part was meant for our Integras.

ok, thank you VERY much!

Well, I ordered them… all I can say is WOW!!! 178$!!! :frowning: and thats not even the amount for the bus… :frowning: add another 10-15$…

$178 CAD?

I hope so, if thats USD, you just got raped. Minus lube!

???

Where did you get them from? You overpaid my friend. List should really only be ~$70 CND each. I paid just under $120 CND ($90 USD) for both of mine from a local Acura dealership.

it’s the same part # for both sides, right? Just wanna make sure even though I’ve already ordered them.

oh, and thanks to XDEep for the owners manual scan. what a great surprise! now i have something to rub in the dealers face next time he tells me the warranty doesn’t cover everything.

this was a great thread. new trailing arm bushings are my next mod…

 to g2ic and everyone who participated in this thread

Back from the dead.

Archon (or anyone else), does Honda have a driver tool for the SK7 bushings? Ben posted the part number for the SR3 (EF) bushings so I’m hoping they have the DA driver also.

TIA,
Brian

I just used the old bushing shell to drive in the new bushings. Unfortunately its not quite tall enough to fit just that in the press and it has to be spaced, but it will work.
