So it appears from the other comments that this part (Part# 52385-SK7-N02) is readily available, right? Otherwise, I think a set should be reserved for me. Not that I could ever get my TA’s off by myself
I think we need a new Smiley for old Guys like myself that have the desire but not the ability or stamina to do more than put a complete Ingalls kit on. Seriously, it took me 2 weekends just to roll my rear fenders… Being old sucks.
scott - is this aone time deal or something? will you be able to order these at anytime? im looking at replacing all my bushings in a few months and my ta bushings are shot. i just want to know if i should get these now or can i wait?
Very nice Duy, hope it turns out well considering all the work and investigating.
Myslowteg, there are atleast 100 or so left on the locater of AHM wahrehouses… You could wait, but if you have the 100 bux, you might want to pick some up.
Yup, I can confirm that. I called Beaverton Honda this morning to make sure I could get these local. The lady was like, “Rare? I show 100+ of them in Texas!?” I’m ordering mine this afternoon. WTF am I going to do with those Mugen ones now? Later project I guess.
oh crap. i hate this thread even more now… duy, great sleuthing and info/pics–thanks! i’m so happy for all these new developments, but yet, i feel so much anger from within… :squint:
did anyone ever get a diagram of the motion of the trailing arm and maybe the direction(s) the bushing needs the most support from? also the way in which the ES bushings restrict this movement. i want to get some ideas on how to use urethane but not fill it completely. perhaps fill, then drill some voids out.
it seems the bushing tends to tear from the middle of the bottom section where it concaves inward. so i.e. fill the bottom section 3/4 of the way up. also, if i was to do this while still on the car, would i want to let it cure while the rear is lowered, stock height, or raised…
Driving the car with the new TA bushings is so different. I should have done this a long time ago. The rear end feels much more planted and firm. Its easier to drive it fast
So this guy calls me a little bit ago, " Hello, I was just calling regarding trailing arm bushings that are available seperate from the trailing arms." I was speaking with Honda, and they told me you have been selling them."
Turns out, it was Wes Vann that did the write up on Bens first post…
Funny story, we had a little chat about the bushings, seems to be a real cool guy.
It seems that maybe the CRX SI’s were the reason for these bushings, along with the DA. He’s lookin into the dimensions of the two, but apparently the CRX’s are close if not the exact same to the DA’s…
Stay tuned…
p.s. I’ve sold 5 sets already, and have 12 more comin.
