I have the original tranny in my 90 GS but I have a stage 2 FI clutch on the stock pressure plate (I know, its bad) and after a year of driving my car, I am almost positive some of that rattling going on in the front of the tranny area is the new oem throw out bearing gone bad. I was thinking of buying an obd-0 B16a cable tranny and had more questions on that. Are the throwout bearings the same from GS tranny to VTEC tranny and are the synchronizers transferable between both transmissions? I want to get the other B16 tranny and take out the final gear from my GS and put it into that but also wanted to give my friend who also has a B16 tranny the synchro’s from the GS tranny because his grinds into 2nd and 3rd gear. Either or, I was gonna buy a new clutch kit for my vehicle so I dont have a S2 clutch on a stock pressure plate.

I forgot to mention that. I have a leak at the shift shaft thing. When I checked the tranny fluid I pumped in a quart and a half roughly. So the tranny was low on fluid over a 3 week period under typical DD situations. I was thinking it may also be the output shaft.
