Was driving around today, and running her pretty hard, around 6000 and speed shifting, and my gears made a small grind in 2nd and 3rd, more so in 3rd though… But if i dont speed shift theres no grinding, any ideas as to what the problem may be?
It’s possible that your synchros are on their way out. But I would just monitor it closely. If it starts to grind more often at high rpm shifts, that’s definitely the problem. Right now mine are so bad that it’s grinding at 5000rpm shifts unless I shift slower than molassas letting the rpms drop back down to 4000rpm. Yuck. Oh well, I’ll just rebuild it soon.
