Hey guys so my tranny is making a grinding noise when im driving in gear and also when I press the clutch pedal in when its in neutral (doesnt seem to be as loud as when im driving it), and it also does it when its just sitting in neutral without the clutch pedal pressed. The only time its not grinding is if im at a stop light and I press the clutch pedal and put it in gear at the same time… And another thing I notice is when I try to put it in first gear at a light it doesnt seem to be as smooth as it should. I have a brand new clutch, flywheel, throwout bearing, and piot bearing. But it is a ebay clutch/flywheel (pro clutch). And yes I know it was dumb to go the cheap route, I bought the clutch 3 years ago and im just now driving it since my car has been sitting for 3 years. But now im all about quality parts since im boosting. But I want to see how long this clutch will last. I wish I at least bought a oem throwout bearing when installing the ebay clutch. But anyways do you guys think its the throwout bearing thats bad or the shaft bearing? And also I dont remember my tranny making this noise before I replaced the clutch.
How is the fluid?
Its full. I didnt drain it yet, but I should since iv never done it as long as iv owned the car and I got a msgnetic drain plug for it too. Could old fluid make it make that noise?
