Does anyone know what the “real” issue may be? I have a 5 speed 90 GS, when it’s idling, there a constant knocking like the pressure plate or flywheel is clattering against something. As soon as I push the clutch down, all I hear is the motor purring. Same goes when I’m driving at low speed, sounds like little elfs with little hammers pounding on the transmission housing. It goes away at freeway speed. Clutch job, flywheel, new trans, all of the above? Your Ideas Please…
all right buddy, i know what the deal is, i have the same thing going on, it sucks…THROW OUT BEARING! i got mine for 37 with a bit of help threw JASOn at honda, cheap fix, the bearing u have an I is shot, replace it, ur golden, that help?
