:mad: The synchros are f’d up on my stock Ls tranny, I have to double clutch in every gear so it won’t grind. Should a get a tranny over haul, or another tranny for my b16a1? someone help!
getting the tranny rebuild would be very expensive, and yes you’d have a new tranny, but you’d be stuck w/ a long geared one (which must especially suck since you said you have a b16a).
go out and buy a vtec cable tranny. you can pick one up for $300-$600 depending on condition, year, lsd or not… and how good of a deal you happen to find. This will be like killing two birds w/ one stone: 1) You get a working tranny, and 2) you get a vtec tranny! so you can go faster!
Colin is right. Get a new tranny. Any B-Series tranny will bolt right up without any mods and your stock axels will work too.
