Hey people I have been a member for a while now. I have to say I think I learned more from this site than I ever did from school. Anyway I have a Question about G2 trannies. This is the first time I have’t bee able to search the answer. But is there a difference between 2 door and 4 door tannies? I have a friend that has a 2 door and his hits 60 in second. I have a 4 door and mine is only hitting 50. The reason I ask is I’m b18c1 swapping my car and I would like to know if I can happily use my able trans.
if its a b series tranny it will mount up to the b18c1…the reason urs hits 50 is cuz u probably have a short gear tranny which is better anywayz.
so with an exedy stage 1 clutch should I be ok with the gsr engine.
I need some input please, I am going to put the new motor in tommorow and don’y want to have to pull the tranny again. I have both trannies and need to make a decision quickly.
my buddy just told me 90-93 integras have a optional tranny called A1, which has longer gears in which is probaly why your buddy hits 60 in secound check his tranny for a gold sticker on the front it should tell you there unless it came off
the stage 1 should be fine
how about the gear ratio of this tans for the gsr motor
I know I haven’t stumped the pros, come on peeps, I just want to know if I should use the gsr hydro or if my stock tranny would be better all around. Thanks for any input. I see a lot of depates about this, but it is mostly about the b16 tanny. I want to know how the gear ratio is in the gsr tanny.
