i looked at the tag and it currently has a a1 transmission. forgot to add that
well, it depends…what do you want out of a trans and whats your plans with the car? (time attack, drag, road racing)
if you plan on going with a newer transmission you will more than likely have to convert it to a hydro setup from the standard cable on these cars. if you want something to put a little more pep in your step, i’d go gsr trans from the 92-93 tegs if you want a bit easier of a swap with a ls 5th for gas mileage. or b16 if your trying to race and its not gas mileage or traveling at high rpms on the freeway you’re worried about.
so, its all about compromise and the application and that’s all dependent on what you are trying to get out of the car.
if you got a lot of money go ITR trans:D

your 90 ls is small spline input anything 92+ will be big spline so you’ll need to change your clutch disc to match.
Yes that was something I forgot to mention in regards to the clutch spline size differences
im thinkin on a road race setup and I know after 1992 they have a different spline size. so im thinkin the 92 gsr trans should be a good fit. I already have a new exedy clutch kit so I want to go with the same spline size. and Im always on a budget you know how that goes.
My advice get a y1 or j1 or s1 b16 small spline cable Trans, your car will dramatically accelerate faster and you will get more bang for your buck out of your ls motor with that Trans no new clutch or pp or fly take Trans off put the new one on,
Only issue is finding one for a good price that is in good condition or lowball someone with one inspect it and replace what is bad like how I did but rebuilding Trans can get pricy a reliable source is best bet
alright I appreciate the advice. I just got to talk to a few friends with Honda/acura parts and make a good deal.
