okay when im in gear the shifter is loose and feels like its in neutral, anyone know what that could be? i just change the bushings on the shift linkage. any advice would be appreciated thanks.
well… how loose is it. mine has alot of play when in gear, but it doesn’t ever pop out or cause any problems. if it’s not causing problems don’t worry about it. the things to check are the linkage bushings, the pivot ball on the bottom of the shifter, or the one you can’t fix easily… the detents in the transmission could be worn out and not holding the shift rod in place. most of the time it would require pulling the transmission out to fix.
again, if it’s not causing any actual problems, don’t worry about it.
mine has a ton of play also, i would try the shifter bushings, or get a DC integra shifter linkage
a shift linkage would be the cause. the bushing is something i would check out :whisper:
