Transmission rebuild, stuck at the last step

Hey guys, bought a YS1 that needed rebuilding. Got all my parts, swapped over to carbon lined synchros, replaced all the bearings and threw an LSD in there since I had the coin. Everything went smoothly, I had the case on then realized I forgot to install a part. Took the case back off, installed the piece and now I can’t get the shift fork actuator to line up. I got my diff bearing lined up, main and countershafts in and all my forks in (I can see it through the detent ball hole) but the thing won’t seat! I’m consuming my rtv sealant rapidly as well as my patience haha. Any suggestions? Tips or tricks? I’ve double checked everything for burrs. I have noticed that my countershaft bearings don’t slide well in the case and I understand to seat that snap ring you have to slide those bearings upwards (or downwards if you tip the case over) TIA

Solved… Last time I took the case off it pulled the pin for the shifter assembly up 1/4" and prevented the case from seating. Got 'er back together and all sealed :loser:
