Does anybody know where you can buy a new but original trunk carpet for a 91 acura integra ls hatch. If not does anybody know of a way to carpet the trunk with aftermarket parts.
Your best bet is getting one from a junk yard and scrub it up.
What color you need, i just threw away a blue one. There all over the junk yards here.
+1 on dstuning.com
I recently bought a trunk carpet from them. Fitment was pretty good and quality was excellent. Takes a couple weeks to get though since theyre made to order.
You can buy mine. 30$. MINT condition
I got a nasty faded black one (turned grey with bleach stains) as a temporary replacement a couple years ago. I thought I would try that black duplicolor vinyl/fabric spray paint since it was a temporary, what would it hurt right. It actually turned out so good that I ended up keeping it! It’s still back there and looks like it did the day I painted it. It hasn’t faded or rubbed off at all. Might be a cheap alternative to think about.
I actually did that with a blue hatch cover from the junkyard as well as my old stained interior carpet. Both came out really good. People think I bought new carpet.
wow some one should write a how to or a review and post it up as a teg tips or stickey…
And how about some pics or the duplicolor fabric painted carpet.

Its a very technical process at all. Just remove carpet, clean well, paint it, let dry and reinstall carpet. Its possible to even paint it still in the car but youll just be making it harder for yourself. Pics would probably only be useful with before and after pics.
I have never really looked at mine to see how they attatch to the back seat. Is it clipped or what and how do you take it off to clean it?
youre gonna have to remove the center console, radio/dash brackets, front seats, bottom half of the rear seats, door sills, kick panels and dead pedal. Its a lot to do but its not too difficult. Once you start taking stuff out youll see where its still attached. The trickiest part is the brackets behind the radio. Once it was out i just put liquid detergent all over it then pressure washed it. Let it dry and the sun and started spraying.
I used the duplicolor on the trunk carpet only. That is easy to remove. There are clips that go into the rear seat. Be carefull though as they are easy to break. If you gently pull and wiggle at the same time they kinda walk out of their holes. Then up at the top of the carpet (where it attaches to the top of the seat) there is a plastic strip sewn to the carpet that rests in slots on the back of the back seat frames. I believe there is a clip (like the others holding the carpet in) built in to the plastic strip so be sure to pop those out, and then simply lift the strips up and the carpet is free. As for the passenger compartment carpet yeah that is a bit more extensive, but not too bad. For that I used a fabric dye and a scotch guard coating. I got everything from this place http://www.rightlook.com/ The place is here in San Diego county so I actually went in and talked to the people there. They were very helpfull and and gave me step by step instructions on how to dye my carpet. Oh and the carpet has to be removed from the car if you go this route. Hope this helps.
just do shit load of light coats and every time after the light coat dry’s scrub it so it feels soft or you could die it
