It is most likely not your trunk weather striping… But the drain hose from your sun roof that ends right near your trunk. It seems to disconnect very easily. Take off both passenger and driver trunks inner panels. (Take your time. it seems like your are taking the whole trunk about. However it is easy and straight forward) you will see a clear ½ inch hose that connects to black rubber grummet type plug that allows the water from your sun roof drain outside. Reconnect, re-type and you should be good to go. That is what worked for me when I had the same issue. Hope this helps!
Sit in the car, get someone to hose it down, and watch for water. I had 7 leaks in my trunk when I got my car lol But eventually got them all. If you car has ever been hit from the rear leaks can come in from bad body work, as well as tail light gaskets, antenna, or sunroof hoses.
