My suspension is H&R race springs w/AGX front and GR2 rear, and 16 inch rims. My wheels dont tuck while driving around…they arent that low, but if i hit a bump on the freeway or the freeway suddenly drops my wheels slightly scrape the wheel well. This rarely happens at all. Will this do any damage to the fender or car its-self?
Causing damage is directly proportional to how severe the bump. Worst case is the you end you cutting your tire and loose the ability to maintain any control. If you want to run the car that low, you might want to consider using higher rate springs to limit your travel. Just make sure that if you decide to do that you conside the following:
- How does the spring rate affect your handling? Do you want to have the same “balance” front to rear?
- Make sure your dampers are rated for the spring rate you are using. (tuned system)
You could always create clearance by rolling your fender lips or raise the ride height slightly.
If u are rubbing maybe you tires are 2 fat or your offset is wrong I was tucking 17’s with no springs at a car show and had no problems my offset is like 43 or 44
