turn signal problem

i neeed help i was workin on my car and i noticed my turnsiglas were not workin all of a suden so i checked the fuse and its fine so i replaced it anyway checked all my bulds even the back up light bulds becuase tghey arent comin on either. the only way they come on is if i hit hte flasher button is their a relay intheir somewhere ill need to replave i need info quick thanks in advance

Hazard lights, [flashers] and signal lights use the same “relay”.

Are you checking the correct fuse?
Fuse 1 -10A, [hot in run] in under dash fuse box, 1991-93.
Fuse 23 -10A, [hot in run] in under dash fuse box, 1990.

Back up lights are on the same fuse as the signal lights.

If the fuse is good you will need to pull the hazard switch and test for voltage on the yellow/red lead, [may also be just a yellow lead].:whisper:94

Do they flas or do the just stay on? If they just stay on its the flasher relay . i had to replace mine when i bought the car .

my flashers work but when i try to use my turn signals they dont comeone or anything neither do my back up lights

If the hazards work, the problem is not the relay/flasher, hazards and signal lights both use the same relay/flasher, but then I already mentioned that.:roll:94

i also check the fuse checked all the bulds and made sure all the things under hte dash were connected so is the the actual switch for the turn signals

It is possible that it is the signal light switch, but it can just as possibly be the hazard switch, [more likely].

You will need to pull the hazard switch and test for power on the yellow/red lead, ign. switch must be on, [signal light power from signal light fuse], if you have power, [12V+] on the yellow/red lead test for power on the green/white lead, [output from hazard switch to Turn Signal Hazard Relay] hazard switch must be plugged in and turned off, if you have power on the green/white lead, the problem is not the hazard switch. 94

hmm i did some searches on this and i was told that it was the back up light relay.

There is no back-up light relay, power for back-up lights go through the “A/T Gear Position Switch”, [automatics] and through the “Back-up Lights Switch”, [standards].

Do the back-up lights work or not?
If not, recheck the signal light fuse. 94
