I just got a 92 da ls…the turn signals worked for about 2 days then they never worked again. Its wierd because my hazard lights work and the arrows light up on the cluster. I even tried replacing the turn signal switch and still not working…any ideas?..thanx in advance
Your turn signals and hazard use the same lights and wiring after the hazard switch, so because the hazards work we know everything after the hazard switch is good, leaving only the signal light fuse, [fuse 1 - 10A in under dash fuse box] or the hazard switch as the problem, there is a possibility it could also be wiring between the fuse and the hazard switch.
You will need a multimeter or 12V test light to trace the problem, unless of coarse it’s just a blown fuse.
You will need to pull the hazard switch and test the signal light power input lead, it is a yellow/red, [or just yellow] lead, it should have 12V+ when ign. switch is in the run position, if it does the fuse and wiring to the switch is good, and the problem will be the hazard switch.
To confirm it is the switch, test the green/white lead, [hazard switch output] it will have 12V+ on it when hazard switch is turned on whether ign. switch is on or not, we already know it will as the hazards work.
It should also have 12V+ on it when hazard switch is off and ign. switch is in the run position.94
i have the same issue but in reverse my turn signals work but when i push my hazard switch the switch will light up but the hazard lights dont do anything. Could this be the flasher relay?
Could this be the flasher relay?
No, the signal lights and hazard lights use the same “Turn Signal/Hazard Relay”, [flasher].
As you say you have the same problem, only reversed, your problem is the hazard switch, as the fuse and wiring must be good if the hazard switch lights up.:hmm:94
