HEY ARIGHT IM A NEW INTEGRA DUDE NO MORE CIVIC FOR ME AND I AM REBUILDING MY ENGINE BOTTOM UP CAUSE OF HIGH MILAGE. I WANT TO USE TYPE R pistons for 10:6 ratio (US)?
FOR MY 1992 integra LS. its the B18B1 engine … same as like all other 94 plus integras. Will i get a good horsepower and torque gain? IM not VTECing my car just am rebuidling it and what a higher compression ratio. what do i have to to to make sure the Pistons will work? Basically is it a good thing to get type r pistons for my integra for higher compression and stuff and whats needed. Are civic pistons better type r DUH? give me all u got
the usdm itr pistons will give you 10.6:1 in a b18c block—but NOT in a b18a/b block. I’m not sure what they will give you, but its not going to be exactly the same as with the b18c, just so you know.
oh, and if you put those pistons in your b18a you’ll have to have the rods shaved for them to fit.
Re: TYPE R integra pistons in B18B1. 92 NONVTEC

Here what i’m running in my 90 rs.I using ctr pistons due to higher compression.I had to shave the rods to make it fit.I’m also use itr water pump and oil pump for volume.Definately more torque and horsepower.good luck with your rebuilding
