Type R Lip Install

Anyone have any info on how to install a Type R lip on a 92-93 bumper? I bought the lip second hand, and the thing doesn’t look like it even belongs on the bumper unless you bend it more than the current shape.

Are they just a bitch to put on, or could I have gotten scammed? Here’s pics, sorry they’re a little big.

Thanks,
Coz

that my friend is an 90 - 91 lip its a bit different in shape then the 92-93. 92-93 lip mounts completely flush under the bumper. while the 90-91 comes up on the bumper a bit on the sides

Damn… for real? Any way to mod it for that flush fit or is the plastic just gonna snap?

yeah…u can modify it to fit…but it’s not worth it and it won’t look good on the 92-93 front bumper.

You can sell it and get the right 92-93 Type R lip or if you want… you can use a heat gun to shape the lip onto your bumper…

Yah guess I’ll sell it and start looking again.

Thanks guys.

or just buy a 90-91 bumper?

looks to be wrong one.
i a 92-93 type r lip off ebay it doent fit 100% the front corners dont curve quite right. its not noticable to the normal person but i know its there witch pisses me off. i dont want to paint it till it looks just right. would a heat gun fix this? or is it just streight up fucked?

If it doesn’t curve right… you can use a heat gun to curve it in more if the lip is polyurethane… not quite sure about fiberglass though…
