Anyways, i have the JDP CF lip and Mugen Replica sides, and ive been struggling to find a rear lip i like. the only one out there really isthe Wings West and im not too big of a fan. Icve considered making my own, or modifying one, and decided against it. Ive always loved the Type R style rear but it never came out like it was supposed to for 92-93. so instead of doing the rear bumper swap, you guys think i can trim the bottom of the bumper off to make the lip fit? Im not too concerned with ruining the bumper, and the fact that the ebay lips show the exhaust cutout on the passenger side isnt a factor either ( my muffler is actually gonne be on the pass side).
So will trimming the lower part of the bumper work or will i be cutting off the part it mounts to? Thanks alot.
The ones you see on ebay with the exhaust on the passenger side is just a reference picture… don’t think that’s the real pic of the lip for the DA. Instead of the mugen rear lip… you can also use the accord stock lip… they fit really nice with minimal modifications. Just do a search for accord rear lip… there are plenty of pics on the 92-93 tegs…
yea that was a consideration too. but i found it looks really funny on a 92-93. Great on a 90-91 but just funny on the 92-93.
anyone know about the Type R rear?
actually i beleive there was a thread on here where someone bought an ebay lip listed as 90-93 integra, it fit the bumper but had the cutout on the wrong side.
well if u have a local honda shop that has DC2 rear lips in stock go down there and see if thay will let u hold one up to ur bumper and see what can u do with it.
the 90-91 ITR rear lip looks like ass IMO so id go with accord rear.
personally im running the 90-91 front and rear bumpers with:
USracing front lip(thanks to tnd2gen)
Mugen replica sides(thanks to tnd2genagain)
and looking to get the accord rear lip.
the advantages of tha tlip is that you wan trim the 90-91 rear bumper center peice between the accord lip out so that you can run an exhaust on either side and not have it look too weird. perosnally havent tried to cutout the center peice of the bumper but give it a shot and post some pics.
I have seen a few pics on here of a couple of tegs w/ the 96-98 EK Type R
coupe lip. That doesn’t look bad @ all. They were older members so I’m not sure how easy they will be to find. Search. Hard.
I haven’t deicided if I wanna go w/ a rear lip yet, or at all. Got a few other things to take care of first.
ABS Dynamics has the lip in stock all the time. Check their site. It’s under the Honda section. scrolll down to Civic rear lips. Heading reads New Honda Civic 2dr/4dr Type R rear lip w/ ABS 96-00. It’s $89.00. Check some of the G2IC sonsors too. Might get a better deal, cause shipping isn’t included in the price.

Oh yeah, just so everyone’s clear here, i am referring to this lip fitting the rear of the 92-93 integra. If you look closely @ the pic on absdynamics.com, you’ll see it has a sort of curved edge that may match the curves on the bottom of the 92-93 rear. That’s why most complain of rear lips on 92-93. They say it looks janky w/ the space it leaves. I don’t think it’s all that bad, but that’s just me.

I think it is a mugen style lip not a bumper cover. I pmed the guy he wants $220 shipped for the front TR lip and rear mugen lip… if its the rear bumper cover thats pretty damn cheap
I did get a 90-91 front bumper recently & the stock front lip looks awesome on the 92-93 rear bumper. That is, until you look @ the sides & realize they’re too short. If someone was to get two 90-91 front lips, then cut the ends off one & add in the “missing link” pieces, it’d look perfect.
Obviously this would mean the next step towards a true lip is making a mold & fabricating the correct piece. If anyone knows how to make lips/molds, I’d definetly be interested in buying the finished product. I’m sure many others would too, considering there is no rear lip for the 92-93.
Fabricators, GET ON IT!!!

Corniest quote ever: “Get yours today! JDM is IN!”
jdp should make this, but alot of the stuff they offer is carbon fiber, which is cool for some, but i dont really like paying extra for something thats carbon fiber, if i want to paint it anyway. for example a front lip for the 92-93 that i just ordered to replace my cracked one is 105shipped- the same lip cf is 195shipped- i’m planning on painting it anyway- so why get carbon fiber.
if its a matter of strength, i dont believe that the CF is much stronger then the abs plastic one- my plastic one took a beating like you wouldnt believe until i hit a construction cone on the highway at 75mph- im pretty sure cf or not anything would crack under those conditions.
yes i agree that a 92-93 lip should be made, it would be awesome- but i want a fabricator to offer one in plastic as well.
