I just got my B&M dual bend shifter today, and when I tried to screw my type r knob onto it I found it wouldn’t fit. Has anyone else with this combo had the same issue? Or is my type r knob possibly fake/ebay? What shift knobs DO WORK on the B&M shifter? I guess I’m going to need another knob. What would you guys suggest? B&M, skunk 2, Blox? I only want a weighted knob, just fyi. Thanks!
im 99 % sure that b&m is te exact same thread pitch as honda any one confirm
That’s what I thought too…
i had a b&m shifter and my knob fits fine…
I can also confirm. I have a b&m and I have had the f1spec knob and a itr knob and both screwed on fine.
try the stock shift knob?

It has a nice weight to it. I prefer this over a itr knob
I found a stock shift knob and screwed it on. It fit fine…
So somethings wrong with this type r knob… Damnit. It doesn’t make sense that it won’t screw on, because its not crossthreaded or anything. Thanks guys.
skunk2 shift knob FTW…
this is what im rocking now…Greddy Trust diamond cut shift knob
…i like it because it’s weighted and threads all the way down so it’s about an inch lower than the skunk2 knob w/o the lock nut.
note: im using the TWM Dual bend short shifter
I like how low that greddy knob sits. I have a stock GSR interior so I really wanted the type r (style at least) knob. Something gunmetal or black with red lettering would go perfect with my seats. I’m probably going to go with a B&M or Skunk2 knob. I think this ebay seller just sold me a junk shift knob…
i have the same issue i got b&m shifter and my spoon knob wont fit i had to force it in
Well, after doing some research I realized my issue is because the ebay seller I bought my knob from sold my an imitation knob. I just ordered a spoon knob to replace it. Hopefully it fits.
rollin
Why dont you just re-tap the knob with the right thread pitch
Well, I really wasn’t feeling that knob even before I found out it was a knockoff. I just bought a spoon knob instead.
Spoon Duracon knob is so freaken nice. I have one.
