U.K honda integra da6-xsi (Lag)

So got this car at the back end of last year, has not been out a great deal yet, but excited to get it ready and out for the spring/summer this year.

The sale thred photo:

Photo from the first event a went to with it (not my own photo):

Back end of last year a met up with some local honda guys for a photo shoot, was a great night and some nice cars there, my photos from it, still wating on the professional photos taken…

After a sold my eg6 a did a deal with the guy to keep my hondata and got some parts to use on the da also.

S300 with launch control for a jdm spec car, need to convert the wiring and a few parts to be able to use this but a plan on fitting it this year.

The car has been hidden away for the winter at a friends place and means a can work on it too:

So far over the winter i have removed front and rear bumpers, all mudd flaps and arch plastics and wheels. It has a custom made set of meister-r coilovers on it the only set made a believe. So they have been degreased and cleaned down, then applied a thin coat of oil on the treads to keep then in good working condition. I carried out a full rust/corrosion inspection on the arches, sills, wings and underside of the car. The car is in fantastic condition for its age still. The previous owner has had the underside stone protected so saves me a job. A still cleaned down the underside and archs and applied a new coat of wax oil protection, paying close attention to the common honda rust area’s. I also applied the protection treatment to the rear chassis legs, fuel tank, fuel filler neck, real slam panel. Only one arch to finish off then its all finished with.
The rear brakes where stripped and cleaned as they where sticking a little due to lack of use. Have carried out a oil filter, oil, spark, and air service. The fuel filter had been done not long ago also.
Its running again and sounding healthy

A had two manifolds from my e.g. so used the dc sports ceramic to give a better flowing exhaust to the car. A also had a j’s whch is better flowing and a larger collector but it hangs to low which cause ground clearance issues on some roads. Playing safe with the dc as it tucks up nice and close to the sump and away from prying roads.

old vs new

After removing the wheels a decided to get them looking new again, they a ssr reverse mesh in 16". The bronze paint was flaking off and the rim was corroded and had lost its shine. A split the rims at home to help bring down cost’s etc.

A snapped a few bolts in each wheel as they had been in so long, was no real hassle to do though. The centres have been painted in bright white to suit the car better, a bought brand new stainless a4 grade fixings to assemble them back together with also. The rims once split went to my friend who polish’s metal work etc. Due to family and space he was unable to complete them for me. Have recently got them back and will be finishing them off this weekend ready to be rebuilt and then the tyres fitted ready to be used…
Photos to follow.

Plans for the moment, am awaiting some parts from a guy in america just checking prices and shipping times etc at the moment though. Has a booking for a new stainless system in early april undecided on tail pipe design at the moment though. My friend should be doing a paint work detail soon also to bring back the glossy shine as the paint is not as good as it should be currently.

How it looks currently:

Good looking DA, man… I’ve always enjoyed how black G2s look.

What mileage is on it? Very clean for a 20 year old car!

Great looking teg! Seems to be well taken care of and in good hands now, can’t wait for more updates!

why you ordering parts from the usa?

there 10x the price of parts our side?

The clock is still reading in km, think its around 31,500miles when you work it out. Al try take a photo this weekend.
Am getting a few styling parts from America a couldn’t find any bits in the uk for the car :/. Any useful sites or places to get parts from?

31,500 miles?? You suck! Lol. I believe I bought mine with about 100,000+ more miles.

Very nice car with ultra low mileage.

You both suck, I got mine with over 250,000 miles. Love the wheels.

good looking ride.

So made a start on my wheels today, never done polishing before so spoke to a guy for some advice on what to use and tips etc. He recommended me a web site to use for the flapper wheels and wax’s etc. The general condition off the metal is very good, they just have a build up of dirt and light corrosion on the surface. Once this is removed there looking alot better.

The setup for today:

The starting point:

Went through the stages on one rim looks nice and polished but still has some pitt marks on the inner part of the lip :/. Still not 100% happy with it so will try some new methods on the weekend if a find time to try get a better overhaul finish to them.

Its a very labour intensive job tbh, took alot longer to carry out each stage then a realised but should be worth it once the all finished and rebuilt :).

That’s an awesome difference from the starting point!

Polishing metal is a bitch though… Everytime I accept a job (wheels, radiators, AC lines, etc) I end up regretting it… Way too time consuming.

A RHD Black Db2… I want! lol ^^^ I agree, have fun with that

Still need to finish the wheels, flattened back another wheel on sat but that’s it. Got two friends coming on sunday to detail the paint work, should look super glossy and shiny after a hope. There bringing a host of equipment to use on the car depending on what it needs done etc.
Thnk for the comments and interest.

i’ve seen this car on eBay ages ago… glad she end up in good hands… i will paint mine teg and detail as well - just finished swissvax course so will do it myself  will keep on eye how she will look after the paint correction job…

Had the detail done today, took a few photos of it but no real comaparison shots, it was overcast by the end of the day so unable to get a good photo of it looking its best. Will post them up this week when a get chance, am very happy with the result though so all is well.

So a few photos and some info from the detail a had done on the weekend…

Car was pre-washed, then washed dried, tar removed, then a full clay bar with a quick detail fluid. Then washed and dried again, the car was masked off and the guys made a start.

Close up action

The car had a three stage cut polish then buff all using 3m pads and a good quality compound. Car was washed and dried again to remove any dust from the car.

The wax

Zymol titanium wax used, is applied by hand as its not cheap, they said using a applicator is to costly as it gets wasted and just dries out in the pad after so not cost effective.

After the wax was removed and the dust cleaned off a few photos of how it looks now, was a cloudy night so unable to show the full extent of the result.
Sitting on standard wheels atm until my ssr wheels are finished.

More updates this week…

car is super clean i like it alot

Quick update its been a few weeks, had me exhaust made up simple system nice fit to. Had them tuck it up closer in the transmission tunnel to save it getting caught on speed humps and roads etc.

Car was just washed and dry’ed wheels finished off and tyres fitted, had a problem getting some valves for it as the valve hole is behind the centre piece.
Finally got them done on the sat for a big uk honda meet, how it looks now…

Possibly looking at a few new parts this week, my order from america should be hear soon too :).

jealous of the car and wheels. Im looking for a set of reverse mesh’s for my build currently too. Keep up the good work!

awesome! I like it.
