uberchip ???

Ok, I always here about these uberchips when FI comes about. I never have had the chance to be explained what exactly it is. It seems like everytime I try to ask this question, I am laughed at like some idiot.
I have a turbo LS, and I would be interested in anything and everything I could know about this uberchip. I have searched also everywhere for this and no luck. Please, provide links or information… Anything would be great. Thanks

try a search on www.honda-tech.com and even www.homemadeturbo.com

yeh, I’ve searched endless hours on homemadeturbo.com. This is actually what inspired me to go turbo, I found this link on honda-tech … http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=540469 … now you see what I mean? No luck, everyone just says search, but there is nothing to search… you just have to hear it through the grapevine…

well, let me explain it as best as i can, which probably isnt too good. Blake(uberteg/notecls) made a cheap chip for boosted ecu’s. It is similar to hondata, endyne, and all those in a sense. It can be tuned by the program he uses… and depending on which version of the chip you buy, the software is included. You must solder the chip into your ecu, and everytime you want to make changes, you have to take it out, plug it in to your pc and tweak it, then plug it back it. Also, it has controls for rev limiter and it retards the timing x-amount for each pound of boost. Thats all i can think of off the top of my head.

Thanks man… I’ve found a lot about the guy Blake and his buddy from stupidfast.com (hatchblack) … I still kinda don’t understand whether its just a chip or if you have to also install an aftermarket chip as well (i’ve seen where some guys said something about this, but I dont’ believe everything I see)… Also, whenever you are ready to do some tweaking, what exactly do you have to take out? The chip or the ecu? I’m kinda hoping that its just the ecu… also, how does it plug to your pc? Is there some kind of plug/port that comes with it to plug to your pc? Or do you have to buy that separate and/or what is that piece called? Also is there a version out that works for vtec cars? I’ve also heard that it only works for non-vtec. Well my car is a 95 LS running with a '92 p61 ecu… I plan to go ls/vtec soon after recovering from my large debts for turbo, so I want to make sure I can tune my vtec point or if the thing will even work with that ecu… I’ve heard that my ecu is nearly exactly the same as the p30…

but anyways… thanks for all the help. I am starting to halfway understand whatsup with the uberchip, and hopefully will soon make a purchase…

Its an actual chip. Im not sure what you exactly have to take out, im pretty sure its the chip, but maybe not. The piece needed to connect it to your pc is included in the package. And yes, there is a vtec version.
