Just wanted to know if im the only person experiencing this issue. Ive had the Pro kit for sometime now but just yesterday a friend of mine pointed out that i have more drop on the rear than on the front… or 3 finger gap in front and barely 2 on the rear… anyone else have this problem and what did you guys do to even it???
keep in mind the front fender is higher than the rear. If you were to lower even all around your front would still have more gap regardless.
how much is the eibach kit dropping f/r?
The pro kit only drops like 1 inch which in my opinion isn’t even enough for the da’s. I bought them but after seeing another teg with them mounted on the wheel gap still looked disgusting so I exchanged them for the sportlines.
Shado has the Eibach Pro kit and has had no issues, the only reason his car is a bit lower in the rear is because of the weight of his speakers. 1 inch may not be allot to drop a car, but in areas like Northwest Arkansas, going lower would be a bad idea, not to mention I have noticed Honda’s with the double wishbone suspension is very picky about it’s geometry, and I have learned that going much lower than 1 inch on the DA/DBs, you start to get too near having the roll center of the suspension above the center of gravity, and this is a very bad thing, the car will handle like crap, Shado had this issue when he had his coil overs. I also must say I think the Eibach Pro kit rides a nice fine line in comfort and performance. They are not so stiff that they rattle teeth out, and not so soft you bottom out on everything. With the progressive rate springs, Shado’s DA9 takes a nice set in the corners with out the use of after market anti-roll bars, which means with out the stiffer bars, the suspension can still work with out binding from stiffer bars. I think for the money, the ride and the handling the Eibach Pro kit is the best bang for the buck for those looking into lower ride and better handling. There are many good reasons professionals use Eibach as well, they are the only company that can maintain I believe it was 1% tollerance for spring rates and ride hight on their springs and they test the hell out of spring rates to get the right numbers for what you want. If you are hardcore though, you could go with the Sport kit which is stiffer and lower still for racing, but that would be bad I think for the road. You have to take into account that there are bad roads all over any country, and if you drive down them with the wrong suspension, it will bite you.
