I lost the key to one of my tegs… I opened up the helms and figured out how to hotwire the thing and got it running in 30 minutes, the only problem is my steering is locked and I get figure out to how to unlock it without a key. I have searched, and i looked through the helms. any help greatly appreciated.
Why don’t you just get a key cut? it’s so cheap for our cars from the dealership.

the teg is getting a b18 out of a parts car and getting turboed… with a full lip and a fresh paint job… and my ls/vtec motor is getting some jun 3 cams and going into a 3in dropped full coilover crx!.. yeah I got the wheels, they’re getting some fresh tires soon and going on a crx…
how can the dealership cut a key for my car if I don’t have a key to copy the pattern from?.. can I give them the vin number or something?..
You can go to the acura dealer and give them your vin and they’ll cut you a new key. But you have to bring in your registration card and a photo id just to prove your the owner. Had to do that with my car because when I bought it, it was one of those cheap copied key and I had to jiggle it up n down just to unlock my doors.
Yep it should only bost a few bucks. here in Canada, we charge 5.95cdn for the key and key cut. cheap. You can also goto a honda dealership
