Vacuum hose

I have a 1990 GS with 5 speed and 196K on the vehicle. My vehicle hesitates or misses when cruising down the road. It does not miss or hesitate under acceleration, just seems to do it when going at a steady rate. Ocassionally, starting out from a dead stop, the car seems to bog down (a split second of lag time) and then accelerate fine. I have replaced plugs, cap, and rotor and tested plug wires. This has a made a minor improvement in performance but has not effected the problem. I intend to clean the IACV as I saw posted on this site and also replace the Vacuum hoses but can’t seem to find the hose size or sizes. Can you tell me the vacuum hose diameter’s are and/or any recommendations concerning the performance problem? Do the IACV cleaning and new vacuum hoses sound like a good idea or a waste of time?

Thanks for your time, Pat

Praise for the Great Oz that responded to my email. Changed out the O2 sensor and that resolved the problem - no more hesitation. Man that had been getting worse and getting on my nerves. This had been going on for over a year. The sensor was just sluggish and never did throw a code. Even had a honda mechanic (best that you can get in the middle of nowhere) say that there was nothing wrong, I just needed to get on it more and open it up. That was the best money spent on this car, and only $20 for a universal sensor and had a mechanic change it out for a half hour labor. I was so glad to get a mechanic to do it after reading a few horror stories about knuckle busting and tearing up threads. Thanks again Oz
