Valve cover gasket

Ok looking for some help on whether or not i haveto replace the valve cover gasket again. The story goes i bought skunk2s flushmount b series hardware kit, and during installation i broke one of the skunk2 studs and after that after that nightmare was over i just put the stock hardware back on, now i have a replacement skunk2 stud and am planning on putting the skunk2 hardware on finally. So my problem is the valvecover gasket i am currently using ony has a maximum of 2000 miles on it so when i remove the valve cover again will i need to replace the gasket? The gaskets practically new. I dont mind having to buy a new one i just dont like waiting and if its not really necessary than id rather not. Any help would be appreciated as i plan on doing this on saturday or sunday most likely. Thanks guys

As long as you don’t rip it, and you can get any silicon/sealant off of it you should be fine reusing it.

If it’s felpro I’m not sure you can get away with reusing it. They always stretch on me. Last time I replaced it I had only used it 2 weeks and it stretched to far for me to reuse it. I’m not sure about OEM though, that’s probably what I should have used to begin with.

Thanks guys. Anyone else with some experience in a similar situation?

If its a honda oem gasket you can reuse it. Just make sure to clean every bit of oil off of it and the engine side surface. And make sure to apply some gasket maker on the corner edges where it meets the cam journals

I reuse my OEM gaskets multiple times since I’m often switching valve covers or doing maintenance. They never reach their normal lifespan in mileage, I reuse 'em a bunch and then eventually toss 'em. As the others said, as long as you don’t stretch it, you clean it properly, and put Hondabond in the corners as instructed by the Helms you should get a good seal.

Again thanks guys appreciate it everything should go alright and ill update tomorrow
