Im dying to get my car back together and running, so I was wondering if someone could please help me out by telling me the Valver Cover torque down specifications for the 10mm lugs, and maybe a diagram to help me out. would be very much appreciated. thank you

7 lb-ft
And I don’t know what kind of diagram you would need
hmmm one-hand tight???
Like boarderwayne said 7 ftlb. For sequence just work from the middle out (like you would for a header). Start with the center one by the spark plugs, then move on the the four outer in a criss-cross pattern and finish with the two side ones (by timing belt cover and distributor). Also, best thing to do whenever reinstalling valve cover is to clean it and seal the rubber gasket with RTV to keep the oil from seeping out at high rev’s. Recommended to let it sit for 24 hours before starting the motor.
just be careful not to over torque it. cuz if u do it’ll squeeze the gasket too much and will defeat the purpose of the gasket. i personally use honda bond at the corners and where the lil humps are… expensive as hell nowadays but well worth it.
a story that relates in topic i had to recently cut my stupid gasket cuz well it stretched out. i was doing a valve adjustment in class, and thought 3 hours of waiting was long enough. well after the valve adjustment was done, and tried to put the valve cover gasket into the valve cover, i had about an inch of extra slack on the front and back. it sucked, i tried for over half an hour trying to make it fit. just wouldn’t fit, even with honda bond holdin most of it down. so i cut an inch from the front n back. used honda bond where they came together, so that it covered the seam, and installed the cover. bought a new one that same day, to replace it, but found out that my lil mickey mouse job worked out good, been weeks and doesn’t leak at all.
alright…thx. ill go work on that now…
