my car is captiva blue… i dont know what color to choose,

i wouldnt wast my time painting a a1 valve cover but if you have a b1 valve cover id paint it gloss black and sand the letters so they are bare aluminum then clear coat it using all hi temp paint. but be sure to allow lots of time between coats and let it dry a day or too before putting it back on
some people like the “blocky” look of the A1 covers. jdecks23 (I think that’s his screen name) has a sexy one.
Agree with that. That is going to be my second alternative if the first one doesn’t work out for me. Gunmetal is sexy.
here’s mine:
some GM blue color. The one above was done with a rattle can. I stripped it a couple weeks later and did it properly with a paint gun.
very nice. not a bad job for a rattle can, It looked powder coated at first glance. I think you should of polished the letters on the bottom, but thats just my opinion:up:

I like the high temp Cast Iron color. My valve cover is that color with black letters.
