Valve Covers

heres mine…

You really aren’t supposed to ground your cylinder head on that post on the valve cover. That’s made to boly on a bracket for the throttle cable on RHD cars. You’re supposed to mount it on one of the main valve cover studs; those connect to the cylinder head, thus grounding it.

I shaved that post as well as the bottom tab off of my valve cover. They’re not necessary.

while going through the posts on that link, i discovered something interesting.

Post number 151:

edited out some of the post to avoid showing unrelated content, view the entire post if interested in seeing the other VC’s he had

I actually bought that valve cover from that guy! technically, i didn’t. I actually bought the entire B16 head from it, and that was the valve cover that came with it.

it went from THAT to THIS:

it was painted by one of my best friends, member 8urcivic on club-integra. I was going to do it myself, but as part of a trade for some parts, he said he would do it for me. who am i to turn down free stuff?
thread where it all came from:

some may remember the “smurf bukkake” valve cover i did for my LS motor. I’ll need to get some good pics of it, as the only pics i have at the moment are from when it was in the “during” process. i don’t have any pics of the finished product.

Graffiti goes on dirty L.A. concrete.

Here’s mine.

Originally intended to use on my NA B20V build, but I got antsy.

Started with this. (taken right after I had the bungs welded in.)

Stripped it.

Removed breather tube. Tapped 3/8" and plugged 3/8" hex thing.

Silver base w/“anodized purple” top coats.

Finished on the car product.

Sorry for the horrible pictures, they were taken with my TMo Dash.

here is mine, removed the timing belt cover, then striped it, and painted with duplicolor wheel coating, graphite black metalic

i was bored :giggle:
