Hey, I noticed you’re from Columbus. Check out the meetings section, there’s a thread started for an Ohio meet.
Only place I can think, is that oil passage…

That is what I am thinking too… Give me a call if you need any more help with that, but I am pretty sure you will find it in one of the oil passages.
Ryan - I think that the torque wrench we used was seriously messed up and out of spec. That is the only reason that I can see those nuts loosening. Make sure to bring your craftsman one over after that nut pops up. Phil’s tools sketch me out…

Hey, thnx for the tip, just posted there!

If you dropped the pan and it isn’t actually stuck in the pick up then it has to be in the oil passages…I’ve seen a lot of people try to do their own valves and this is one thing that happens quite often. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one make its way past the pick-up no matter how long its been in there. The telescoping magnet is definetly your best option…

go driving on the freeway, and hope that sucker falls out and goes flying behind you’ll, you’ll know it’s come out when usee a car behind you swerve out of control from nut hitting there windshield:D j/k
I got the bolt. and did the valve adjustment!
Thanks for all the help boys!

Good to hear that, Phil.
How do you mean that it was because of the way we did it?? Once the clearances are set and everything is torqued down, that is all there is to it…
Where did you find the nut?? Oil passage??
Later,
BR
I know it’s kinda old but yeah where did you find the nut VietG?
