Im going to be doing ls/vtec here in the near future and was just peicing everything together. Im pretty sure that I can run the stock b16 valvetrain up to 8000rpms. But im wondering does the valvetrain need to upgraded with some more aggressive cams like itr,ctr,skunk 3 stage lll’s or even some m22.
Im not planing on reving it no more than 8 grand??
id stick with OEM ITR for stage ones… i use portflow inners and itr yellow outers with ctr cams. you can use those up to 12.3mm lift and 260+ duration
i wanna be able to reach 190-200whp with the oem pr3 ls/vtec setup. If i feel a little more balzy ill get some itr or ctr pistons to bring the comp to about 12’ish.
