Here is my so called “idea”.
I am tired of looking at my boring ass stock gauges and am over the indiglo thing. I was thinking of taking the stock gauges out. But the twist is i want to replace the water temp,speedo,tach,and fuel gauge with Autometer gauges. I think the diameter of the hole for the water temp,and fuel look like the can handle an autometer gauge with minimal custom work. But as for the tach and speedo i think they might need to be made bigger.(the hole that is) I plan to keep all the warning lights intact and working but just looking for any tips,maybe even a how to if possible. Everything is to remain stock exccept the gauges themselves.(bezel,plastic cover,etc…)BTW i am looking into the Carbon Fiber gauges to be used.This would be MAD PIMP! :drool:
they make kits, but im’ not sure if they make any for the g2 where u can change them to autometers.
Instead of doing it yourself and putting in the time (unless you want to) i would look to see if they make a kit.

tegracer93 - have u thought about printing out some custom gauge overlays? a bud of mine in s.f. made some for his gen3 gsr, it’s sweeeeeet… has a watery image, bubbles, pictures of him and his girlfriend together, and all the numbering is in chinese. looks hella clean, white-sky blue-blue gauges with a white gsr… 
but a really kool cluster conversion that i’ve been thinking about is a '02 wrx cluster in our tegs… they sorta have the same shape, but the bottom sides round out, then flat in the middle, but i think that’ll be too much hassle swapping wiring to each other. it would be nice though…

I was reading about having to do that in last month’s Honda Tuning, they put a b17 into a civic hatch… Its just a different sending unit and some wires…i wanna say a 91 del sol has it…don’t quote me
The G3 conversion has already been done. I think the Autometer conversion could look nice, Id go with the cobalt or the C2, Lunars look good too.
