I just put in JG 304/314 cams and set the valves. My car is making noise like a diesel motor. It still sounds like the valves are way out of spec. I drove it, and as the rpm’s approached 5000, it lost a lot of power. Any ideas on what the problem could be???

Sean you got new cams? cool bro… i bet your car pulls so much harder now…
as to that… hmm… does sound like your valves… but i would try asking Dan or someone with lots of experience.
i know a guy who set his valves to spec but set it to inchs instead
of metric settings is it possible you may have done that in error
That does sound like your valves are way out of spec. Pull your valve cover back off and double check the clearances.

Ok I got everything fixed yesterday. When I rechecked the valves, they were way off. It’s running pretty good now, these cams pull a lot harder.
