Anyone ever wanna find out excatly when your VTEC is kicking in OR just have something different in there car? Take a look at this page it will show you how to wire a LED to you ECU that will light up when you VTEC kicks, and when the VTEC and IAB kick in. I think its kinda neat but I dont have VTEC so I cant do it. ENJOY!!

Uh, yeah. Pin A8 (vtec sol) puts out 12v when vtec kicks in, so just splice into that wire and ground the other side of the light. You could even do that on one of the unused lights on the back of your guage cluster. Pretty easy.

i don’t think there are any unused lights on the gsr cluster.

You can always use the little red light on tip of the steering column for the VTEC light.

there’s no light there?! but i could just not be lazy and mount a light somewhere.
Oh my car has a little red light there. It blinks when the security system is armed.
well if your like me and your ABS doesn’t work then you would use that light. or you could use your door light. don’t really need that.
how about wiring it so that when vtec kicks in, your wipers turn on. lol j/k

:gotrice: Get floor neon tubes and then have them light up when Vtec is activated. I actually thought about adding a LED to my cluster for this, but then again I normally can tell when VTEC is actuated because of the loud bwaaaaaaaAAAAAAAA and the sudden increase in acceleration.
Better yet, hook the vtec solenoid up to your car horn 
I think hooking it up to the wipers is the best… that way when you’re BWWAAAaaaaing down the street, your wipers turn on and you can tell whoever you’re with that you don’t know why they turn on…

yeah my friend wired up a volts gauge (that he mounted in the area of our digital clocks) so that it would read 12 volts at the exact point of VTEC
activation.
me and a friend had an idea a while back…
he had a crx w/ projector headlights, but when angel eyes just came out, the how-to’s by making angel eyes out of the rod that u use to turn the blinds to shade, you put them in the oven, make hella cuts, then mount kinda thing…
well, back then, when it was cooler… we were going to put angel eyes around his projectors, with red led’s in them ( makes red halo rings around the projector headlight ) , then make the led’s come on when vtec kicks…
it was always just kool to think about a crx with a boosted b16a, with it’s eyes turning red when it gets really mad… :rockon:
that idea with the crx is pretty badass. that’d be one mean machine. we used to have a crx, then fro some reason my dad decided to sell it. right afterwards, like a week, he was like ‘damn that was a dumb idea’. so it goes. im thinking about saving up some and buying one here soon
you can wire up your own LED, well i got the idea from that link just that i hooked it up to a LED from radio shack
