Vtec Tranny, Ls Tranny...which One?????

well there has been alot of hype about the trannies…

i had my LS/VTEC swap done on a LS tranny initially, and i would hit 125 m/h in fourth gear…

well since i got the B16 tranny, i was REALLY impressed with the acceleration…i would be changing gears like crazy to keep up with the close ratio gear speed.

but i have to say that before any of you guys plan to do this tranny swap, please be warned, you are KILLING THE TOP END.

today i was driving towards the Bronx and i hit 120 miles/hr, in fifth gear, @ 7000 RPMS…this is a major kill to my topend…

BUT…

i reached that 120 in LESS TIME as the LS TRANNY would…

the B16 TRANNY, ACCELERATES MUCH FASTER, BUT REDLINES MUCH QUICKER IN THE PROCCESS…

so if you are one of those who loves to drive on the highway at about 80 m/h, while the RPM is still low, then dont get the tranny, because if you do, your engine will be screaming.

but at the street races, your car will be performing much better.
