Thanx

interesting. Man a timing belt and water/oil pump change would be SUPER easy on that set up.

clockwise running… interesting!

lol, my thoughts exactly.

naw I see what you mean but that has to be the effect of the choppy video.

it is in the description: Clockwise running 1600cc 225hp b16a engine with toda killer cams.

no its not clock wise you can tell its not at the end of the video when he starts reving the motor watch the alternator pulley then watch the letters on the belt . they run up over the pulley not down the pulley . just like our cars

I wonder what it takes to make a b series run clockwise? The biggest hurdle I can think of is the timing belt. Rotating it the other way would put all the stress on the tensioner and waterpump. Did he have to address this, or is the tensioner and mounting bolt strong enough to take it?
Other than that, throw in some custom reverse ground “vtec killer cams”, a different distributor, and a starter that spins the other way. What a cool idea! O wait, what about the oil pump? And why does it say TODA Vtec killers? No way TODA makes them that way. Probably just matched TODA’s specs…in reverse. It would make it basically the same.

It’s funny because I have been wiring up a street-legal dune buggy for the last couple of days, and this certainly gets me thinking…which can be dangerous!!!

You wouldn’t have to change the cam profiles if you just changed the timing.

toda vtec killer cams elimates vtec
they did not make that up

I was saying there is no way toda makes “reverse rotation” vtec killer cams. I dont know how the killer cam lobes are shaped, but I know all other Honda cams have a different shape on the part of the cam lobe that opens the valves, than the part that lets it close. I’m familiar with what vtec killer cams are.
