Water leak on passenger floor

Car is a 90 teg Gs and there’s a water leak on the passenger floor. It’s definately not the heater core but rather water that’s getting past the seal on the cowl piece that butts up against the windshield. I tried removing everything and using silicone to seal it all back up but it still leaks down into the blower motor housing and then drips through and soaks the passenger floor carpet. Anyone run into this before?

:search: Theres alot of posting about this problem, And one of them might help you.

Not that, do you have a smoke machine?..try somoking out the leak, i know when im at work, and im looking for a leak but i have no idea were it’s commin from, also some smoke machines have a die in it so if you use a black light you can see it drip and sutch…idk, just an idea to how to find it…

No need for a smoke machine, i put my head under the dash with a flashlight on the area and had someone run a hose over the windshiled to find where it was coming out. Then i took the cowl panel off and seen how the seal for the cheap plastic part was letting water pass through and run down right into the blower motor housing.

Didn’t find anything on the search last time but i did this time so i will try replacing those small seals.
