im having a problem when i wash my car or when it rains there is water that drips from the seat belt retract-er and leaks on to the floor. even when i’m driving it starts leaking and it pisses me off cause i hate to drive my car in the rain because of it.
would really appreciate it if anyone can help me out
Is it leaking from the pillar where the automatic seatbelt slides front and back when the door is opened? Also, on what side of the car? Do you have a sunroof in the car?
yes that is where its leaking at were the seat belt goes back and forth. its on the passenger side and i do have a sunroof its a 90 2dr ls
Sorry, I noticed your original title said what side it was coming in through. I think you’ll need to pull out your headliner to know where the leak is coming from for sure. My guess would be the sunroof, but I’m assuming even an improperly installed/sealed windshield could cause the same type of leak.
okay thanks. how do i go about taking the headliner off is it pretty easy or is it hard?
yea i was wondering about that too. i have an rs that is doing that on the driver side and i dont have a sunroof.
It is not hard, just a lot of screws to keep track of! Don’t let the headliner bend when you pull it!
