i have water pooled up under my rear seats! i also have water in my trunk! i know that my tail lights get lots of water inside of them because i made a seal for the tail lights out of dum dum. but do you think that water under the rear seats is coiming from that? im thinking about taking out my back seats and clearing out my trunk. clean up the water and let it sit over night to see if the water comes back. i just dont understand how im getting water under my rear seats! some help would be great. thanks
Its the tail light man. If water is getting in,the water will overflow in to the trunk and over to the back seats. Go to Walmart and buy some goldfish and you should be ok…lol
If you have a sun roof check the drain tubes
how do i check the drain tubes? i sealed my sunroof shut with some clear silicone because when it rained really hard one time, a bunch of water was in my roof and when i was driving it was like a water fall on my back when i braked for a stop sign. in order to fix that i think im going to need a new sunroof gasket and drain tubes. but i dont have the time or money for that so i just sealed it shut for now. anyways im willing to bet its the tail lights.
you have to pull the side pannels loose in the trunk an look behind them
well, i got some foam stuff at the store just now. im going to leave my rear seats out of my car for a while to see if the water comes back after i re seal the tail lights.
Don’t use foam in a can if that’s what you got. That shit is a mess and will fuck the lights up. Use window stripping,its a foam and works grate.
make sure the cut is on the bottom so it doesn’t leak, and while you have the tail lights out check the sun roof drain hoses on both sides, they are hard to miss. the hoses are clear and get inserted into black rubber tube that lets the water drain out.
I glued them into the little rubber tube that goes through the chassis just to be sure they don’t come out again.

i remember, when i was fixing my qtr panel damage and i took of the side int panel, i saw a nasty hose that i pulled out. i think that might have been a drain tube. and thats prolly why my sunroof leaked so bad was that the water just drained into the roof. how would i get too the sunroof with out having to take apart everything?
still none the less, my sunroofs been sealed shut ever since. it has to be the tail lights for now. but does anyone have a diy with pics on how to remove the headliner and such?
