Water temp gauge on the hot side

Aight kool. That was what I was thinking too about changing the oil. I just changed it last month with mobil 1 synthetic but my engine leaks oil too. Damn. 1 problem after another. It has been leaking and all I did was an oil pan gasket and it still leaks. It could be another seal or I just didn’t do it right. I believe I did it right. I ain’t got no time this week until next Monday and it’s my daily driver. Thanks

Although its not bad to run synthetic,i wouldn’t recommend it as our cars are meant to run non synthetic oil.

Can i ask why did you disconnect your fans in the first place . And why have a cold air on a daily with no bypass…doesnt seem smart to me at all

running a CAI is just fine to do, I would however recomend geting that splash shield back in. it does NOT help it by leting more air. it just leaves it vaunerable to the situation hes in now

There is nothing wrong with running synthetic oil in these motors

What is up with the crappy information around here lately. :tsk:

OP. check that oil agian, if its watery or creamy looking it sadly sounds like a toasted H/G. it only make me more positive about it due to your problem and that fact thats what happens when you over heat a motor for multiple or extended periods of time

i never said a CAI is bad im just sayin why put it on your daily driver and put it in jeopardy of getting flooded…mind you he doesnt have a bypass or a sheild near it.smh

At no piont did I say that you said"its bad" please dont take it that way.

unless you live in an area that sees lots of flooding, those things IMO are not necessary and a waste of money, the splash shield does a good enough job of keeping the majority of the water out. of course if you did live somewhere with constant flooding, lets be real. you shouldnt be running CAI in the first place!

Ok now yah…I put my fan back on and no more heating problems. First of all I took it off since I thought they was the problem with destroying my lifetime warranty radiator which was cause everytime I would hit a pot hole. A few days later or next day I would be out of coolant. So that problem solved. Thanks…also with the cai. Yeah…now I know what can really f up ur engine. There wasn’t any puddles but there was rain and with no wheel fender liner you can fuck up yor engine. Ive done it twice now. My car just backfired Hella smoke and started to bog when this happen and it suddenly slowed down. So I pulled over and removed the cai piece to the manifold. Thank goodness it was a two piece. After that it drove fine again.

glad u fixed it homiee fans are there for a reason…n becareful with the CAI …your car is a daily not a “only track driven car”

Yeah true dat. I sold the cai cause of that. I will invest in a short ram.
