Weapon-R Dragon Intake

I was wondering if the Weapon-R dragon intake is any good…i was thinking of buying one for my 90 integra GS…Would it be a good 128 dollar investment or is there a better intake…thanx in advance

I’d go with the AEM intake, it’s proven to be good and you can find one for around the same price or a little more than that one you’re looking at. I have an AEM intake on my car and it’s great.

was that the one that got recalled…the dragon filter i remmeber hearing some thing about it on my friends board…id go with aem my 2 cents

an intake is an intake. don’t focus too much on the brand, unless you want a carb. e.o approved one if you live in Ca. instead, focus on the pipe diameter, length, and design(i.e tapered design, bergenholtz(sp?)…etc.), and filter material(foam flows the best, but doesn’t filter as good. k&n material is the best of both worlds(filtering/flowing), and see if it matches up to your engine set up. meaning throttle body, intake manifold…etc.

there are many many threads about intake brands, which one to go with, and whats better suited for an engine set up. please search on it.

fyi: weapon-r intake is just like any other 3" diameter short ram intake on the market. only difference is the filter(foam). your better off spending that money to get a $30 generic intake off of ebay which does the same exact thing since it is also 3" diameter piping.

cold air intake is good for a infamous “hump” that occurs at mid range rpm due to the long intake pipe. before and after this “hump” the gains of the cold air intake are the same as short ram.

i have a weapon r intake on my 90 gs right now and it pulls pretty hard at like 3500 or 4000 but i’m doin a swap later this week so i’ll see what it can do wit vtec but i’m eventually gonna sitch to k and n cuz my buddy has it on his gsr and it rips jus my 2 cents hope i helped u out
