Got a couple new toys put on. Nothing major but a great improvement over the old. Pics tomorrow.
I noticed earlier this week that I was getting a slight hesitation under partial throttle. It got a little worse over the course of the week. Figuring it might be the O2 sensors, I unplugged them. I didn’t notice the hesitation getting any worse with them both unplugged, so I am fairly certain that the O2 sensors are the culprits. It didn’t throw any CELs though, even with both unplugged. Weird. My mileage has also been quite poor for awhile now too.
Tonight I am meeting up with a few local car guys at the now vacant Hyundai lot where I got some pics before. It sits across the street from the movie theater. We’re going to order some pizzas and laugh at all of the local ricer kids who are going to watch the new F&F. :giggle:
NICE. Loving the cleanliness. Somebody broke into my car over the weekend and stole my shift knob, radio, and a failed attempt on my cai. Fail fail fail.
Wow. That sucks man. I’m thinking an alarm is going to be my next big investment.
Replaced both O2 sensors Saturday so I’m back in business.
I’m going to take a break from anymore big purchases for a minute. We’ll see how that works. Friday I’m ordering new VTEC solenoid gaskets and a new cam seal. Maybe then I’ll finally get around to doing a valve adjustment.
Some local meets/car shows are going to be happening soon.
Ordered the gaskets yesterday without realizing I ordered the wrong ones. I got distracted while I was getting the cam seal plug for the GS-R and I ended up ordering the gaskets for that too. I meant to order the VTEC solenoid gaskets for a 91 NSX.
I just ordered the correct ones today. I guess I’ll have some extra VTEC solenoid gaskets for OBD-I’s if anybody needs them. :bang:
I made myself about a 4" shifter extension yesterday. It didn’t turn out half-bad. I might make another today but a bit shorter. I’ll get pics later.
The one I made today I took my time on. First, I hacksawed off the threaded parts on the ends. I then filed down the rough spots leftover. Then I tapped it on both ends. I had to cut off the hex-head from a bolt in order to connect the shift knob with the extension. Applied threadlocker to the rod and threaded it into the extension. I thought about leaving it as is but I ended up hitting it with a wire wheel. I’m debating whether or not to hit it with a torch to give it a burnt-look. I’ll probably test that out on the first one I made later.
It’s great. It’s within easy reach and in a comfortable location now. I just need the ES shifter bushings and I’ll be set. Think I’ll order those tonight.
