wearedaughters' 90 RS Build Timeline

Snapped a few pics to show the new stance and a little treat I picked up last weekend.

Tried out the new camera/tripod setup. Car is in winter mode. These wheels may be for sale soon.

Played around a bit as well. 0-80km/h

Car is looking good man. You should paint the strip at the bottom of the car black.

You mean the part under the door?

I’d like to source some sideskirts. If not I probably will paint them.

Yeah the strip were the jack points are

They do look pretty poopy.

Painted the rocker strip. It started to bother me even more after Herb pointed it out. :stuck_out_tongue:

Took the Subzeros off and put the Brocks back on. Subzeros are getting sold Saturday.

Took some X-mas eve garage shots. NIB discontinued Thule 555 fairing is on the way.

Rotas sold.

Bought myself a D40 yesterday for my birthday today. Might take some pics of the new fairing/wheel setup later this afternoon.

b18see1 bought the rotas? How much did you get for them?

Yep. 4 bills.

Testing out the D40.

nice build

I personally like the Subzeros better…they tie into the theme of the car better (black moldings, black grill).

i second that also.

looking great so far tho keep up the good work:rockon:

Really? I didn’t think the Subzeros were a bad-looking wheel, I just wanted to go in a different direction. I really like the Brocks. I think that they are good looking wheels and I have yet to see anybody with them on a Honda, but I may be looking to trade them at some point. I’d really like some Ronal R10 Turbos. I guess I may someday post them up on the Vortex and see if what happens.

Anyways, thanks for the comments.

Tomorrow I might do a valve adjustment. I will certainly take pictures if I do.

I like those Rotas too. The real ones are better, (Racing Hart CP-035) but I found some Konig Minuz (same design) for a good price, so I’m gonna grab those. Besides I trust Konig more than Rota, & the Minuz are only 12lbs a piece!

I’m doin’ mine in silver though. Not really a fan of black rims. I noticed you had painted them silver @ one time. What color/brand paint did you use? Process?

:getsome::manual:

Figure that out!

They were originally black when I bought them. They started to flake after awhile so I decided to repaint them silver since that is the color I was planning on painting the car once the bodywork was finished.

I stripped them with aircraft stripper which removed most of the old paint. I then beadblasted them to get the remainder off the stubborn areas. Stupidly, I painted them. I should have just polished them. I didn’t do such a good job of prepping the wheels before I painted them silver, so they had some rough spots where I didn’t sand down the primer before applying the paint. I then decided to paint them black again. I sanded them down and used the black Duplicolor wheel paint that they sell at most auto stores. They didn’t come out too bad the second time, but then again I should have just polished them.
