weather striping/rubber around headlights

I’ve noticed that a lot of people take off the rubber weather striping that is on the end of the hood that goes around the headlights. Is there a reason for this?

mine fell off:stare:
usually when people get one pieces they never replace it and it will fall off

i’ve still got mine on
it was a b*tch putting my bumper on after installing the 1pcs though

Mine never seated correctly after doing the 1 piece swap. It’s a little off on the sides. I’m planning on replacing these in the near future but now that you mentioned it… I’ll be on the look out for pics of DAs that does not have them installed. I wonder how much of a difference it makes.

Rony I just replaced my front bumper with an OEM one and it had the ruber strip. Next time we meet up you can take a look at it first hand.

It looks stupid if you take it off, cause there’s that gap between the bumper/headlight/hood. I would just leave it, although it does suck trying to keep it in there if it’s coming off.

heres a pic when i first got the car

as you can see…it only has the bottom piece of the gasket, and the left one is even falling off.sense then i replaced all exterior gaskets.(plus mirrors, cleaned 1 pieces,OEM bumper, amber turnes.exc) highly recommend it.
