weird acceleration issue

after the car is warm and ive been driving around for a few minutes and hit a stop sign the idle tends to drop real low (anywhere from 300 to 500 rpm) and when i go to accelerate the car doesnt really want to get up and move like it should. now the thing that really gets me is that its not a consistent problem. for instance if there where 4 stop signs in a row one time itll drop idle and not accel at 2, and another time itll do that at only one and the next time itll do it at all the stops. its not really so much a bouncing or erratic idle it just drops low. now if the idles doesnt drop the car accelerates just like it should. it doesnt really seem like its going to die.

at first i was thinking that maybe this had something to do with my FIT valve but after searching about those it seems that it only effects things when you first start the car, its a possibility that it may be related to the IACV but im not certain.

its a 92 gs with a manual tranny.

have you checked your oil

you may be low jus a thought

i have actually checked that, and some times when this issue happens i am low on oil but the car has the same issue if im low or not low.

if u let it idle for a while does it ever die

its died maybe three or four times since i got the car a little over a year ago, but those times when it did die i would say they there was a 80% chance that it died due to the main fuel relay not doin its job. when it did die it was on hot days and afterwords the relay would keep it from starting again. like it would start for just long enough to suck the last of the fuel from the lines.
